Every note, title and attachment is encrypted on your device with a key derived from your password. The server stores ciphertext it has no way to open — not by policy, by construction.
Your password never leaves your device. It derives your keys locally; the server only ever sees a separate verifier value that cannot decrypt anything. Nobody at MilliNotes — administrators included — can read your notes or reset your way into them.
Arabic, Persian, Hebrew and Latin scripts are first-class. Text direction is detected per paragraph, so a right-to-left note quoting an English link stays readable in both.
Notes sync through an append-only, signed log, so a device that has been offline catches up without losing edits — and a tampered or rolled-back history is rejected, not merged.
Voice transcription and tagging run locally, after decryption. Your content is never sent anywhere to be processed.
MilliNotes is a native app for Android, iOS, Windows and macOS. It is in active development and not yet published to the app stores — there is nothing to download here yet.
